Hungerford Summer Festival is the new name for the ‘Arts’ Festival (which is always in the summer and includes a wider variety of content than perhaps the Arts title implied)
SUMMER FESTIVAL 2019
Fri 28 June – Sun 14 July
Thanks to all our supporters, volunteers, caterers, audiences and performers for a great 2018 Festival.
The headline event in 2018 was the unmissable evening of nostalgic rock from the Kast Off Kinks, former members of the iconic band now back together and reprising all their greatest hits, from ‘Dedicated Follower of Fashion’ to ‘Waterloo Sunset’.
The Festival launched on Friday 29th June, when dedicated followers of the world’s longest-running radio soap opera had a treat in store: the inside story of The Archers, told by the programme’s Agricultural Adviser and writer of over 600 episodes, Graham Harvey.
Followed by a huge range of events – unforgettable songs from the Joni Mitchell Songbook, anarchic comedy from Sleeping Trees, literary lunacy from LipService, fascinating talks on subjects ranging from life behind the scenes at Westminster to Wild Cooking, thoughtful theatre from local groups, a thrilling Murder Mystery Supper, vintage fashion, guided walks, fun workshops, inspiring exhibitions, glorious gardens, and music music music – to suit every taste, from folk to jazz, Puccini to big band swing, a rock choir to a classical guitar recital!

The Hungerford Arts Festival (HADCAF) is run entirely by volunteers and is funded by Hungerford Town Council, The Town and Manor of Hungerford, and Greenham Common Trust, together with sponsorship by local businesses and individuals whose generous help enables ticket prices to be kept as low as possible. Please see our list of supporters here. Box office facilities are kindly provided by Newbury Building Society (Hungerford branch) and tickets are also available online.
If you would like to help out with the Festival or offer sponsorship, we would love to hear from you via the form on the CONTACT page.
