One of the world’s foremost woody plant experts, Andy McIndoe offers information and advice on how to pick the right shrub for every site and condition with suggestions for challenging growing conditions and restricted planting spaces, along with shrubs chosen for their desirable characteristics, including hardiness in shade, difficult soil, and harsh conditions.
Andy has over 40 years' experience in horticulture, multiple Chelsea Gold Medal winner, author, blogger and broadcaster, international gardening lecturer and garden tours leader.
Honeybees are Amazing

Discover the the fascinating life cycle of a colony of honeybees, the ways in which the beekeeper looks after them and what we can do to help them. Jan Doyle from Newbury and District Beekeepers' Association will talk about all aspects of honeybees from pollinators, to providers of medicine and honey. With a Q&A session at the end of the talk and honey tasting this will be an enlightening and entertaining evening.
Security and Intelligence: A Talk by Author, Nigel West

This speaker will no doubt make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up as he addresses recent security, intelligence and espionage issues. Nigel West is a writer of non-fiction studies on security and intelligence topics and a specialist obituary writer for the Daily Telegraph and has also been a specialist question-setter for BBC TV’s Mastermind. As a contributor to the Dictionary of National Biography he also sits on the editorial board of the International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence. To top it all – he is the first recipient of the US Association of Former Intelligence Officers’ Lifetime Literature Achievement Award and was voted by the Observer as “The Experts’ Expert”.
